BAC Mono - on sale in the US from 2012
The awesome BAC Mono – the ultimate single-seater road car – is heading for the United States to be sold by Sector 111 in California. The BAC Mono has made a lot of noise for a small production car bolted together by an unknown company since it arrived on the scene back in March. But then that’s no surprise; it is an astonishing car.
Lexus has released the first tease of a new F-branded model – and it looks like the car in question is a hot version of last month’s new RC Coupe. The new RC-F will be officially revealed at the Detroit Motor Show next month, with the firm promising “performance synonymous with Lexus’s heritage of F-designated performance models”. The British government today announced new laws to allow autonomous cars on UK roads by 2015, prompting a review of the Highway Code and new legal measures to make sure driverless cars comply with current motoring law. Business secretary Vince Cable attended an event at the motor industry test facility at MIRA in the Midlands to unveil the measures, which include a £10 million regional fund for cities to apply to become a driverless car test area. Up to three cities will be selected to share the funding for trials that are expected to last between 18-36 months.
